Hebrews 12 5-8

5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Have you ever felt weary of serving? Have you ever been weak spiritually? Have you wanted to quit altogether? Have you thought it is so impossible to be pure and holy in this wicked world?

Have you woken up and mourned because of the misery of another day? Have you just finished one thing and within a minute, another burden came up?

In fact, it is common in Christian world. In fact, if you don’t experience this, you may question the authenticity of your conversion.

God never lies and The Word of God never lies. He said that we must pick up daily cross to be able to follow Him. Have you seen the size of the cross? To carry such cross the whole day is not an easy task. It is because this world and the god of this world want you to go to hell. He wastes no time to ruin you. Jesus has power to conquer and shut this mouth, but He does allow these things to happen to you because He wants to chastise you. If you are a father or mother, you realize that when you don’t discipline your children, they will be spoilt and ruined. A child when getting everything he wants will grow up and demand society to do the same to him. People will throw cold water at him, and he will be crushed and cannot survive. If a father doesn’t discipline his child, the child will have no understanding and may hang out with bad influence to destroy his life with alcohol and drugs. Thus, a good father disciplines his child. Jesus is a good Father and will chastise His children. Obey and rejoice that God is doing so for He loves you.
